THE PROJECT
Mechanical design, electronics, controls, and fabrication come together differently in every build. This record describes the work documented for this project.
What was developed
Developed a PIC32MM-based vehicle concept with ultrasonic obstacle detection, wheel-speed sensing using a Hall-effect sensor and magnet, and RF remote control. A custom joystick controller sent three-bit encoded commands; PWM controlled motor speed.
The anti-theft behaviour was designed to stop the vehicle when movement was detected without an authorized unlock signal. Development also involved practical integration and debugging, including interference between joystick ADC channels and unreliable RF hardware.
PROJECT NOTE
The platform brings obstacle response, wheel-speed sensing, wireless control, and immobilizer logic into one embedded system.
